Lake Nona Live - Lake Nona’s music festival concert series. Original branding, logo design, stage design, signage design, wristband design, merch design, and more!
For the Jazz Series of this music festival, I created hand-crafted paper cutouts that I used to create the logo. This gave the brand an energy-filled art aesthetic.
Oh What Fun! A Holiday Festival features a flurry of festive activities for the whole family. The brand has a whimsical vintage personality to mesh with the concept of the event.
Lake Nona Town Center will transform into a true winter wonderland with one of Central Florida’s only outdoor, open-air skating rinks surrounded by Christmas trees, twinkly lights, a mailbox for letters to Santa and everything we love most about the holiday season.
Lake Nona’s annual 5K recently completed its 14th annual race around Lake Nona with more than 1,300 walkers and runners.
The event required a refresh on the rebrand to include an H20 Water Party element which I added into the wordmark. The overall branding was designed to be fresh with inclusion of whitespace and a bright pop of teal to represent the daytime water party aspect of the event, as compared to the event that was previously at night.
Our Brand Experience team had a need to redesign our quarterly event calendars, so I took the task head-on and designed a new style of calendars to be both informational and user-friendly as a wall calendar.
Bold and colorful abstract graphic elements reflect the season’s weather and create a unique aesthetic for each edition. The uncoated texture creates a modern casual appeal, and the attention to detail in consistent font styles make the calendar as appealing as the community it reflects.
The Collateral has won a Silver award in Districts for the 2020 American Advertising Awards.
Lake Nona has traditionally printed quarterly calendars for residents to keep track of hundreds of events that take place within the community each year. 2019 was the year for an overhaul on the newsletter campaign, to be created with a new look and use. The event calendars were mailed to residents, as well as available for pick-up in the community information center. The new Lake Nona Event Calendar was born: What’s Happening 2019. This new version is a charming hanging calendar style with die-cut holes and perforated pages for easy portable use. To solve the issue of multiple events per any given day, there was a solution of a larger cover than interior pages, allowing room in the margins to describe the recurring weekly events. The calendar-style newsletter features consistent layout throughout each piece, to create a familial look within the campaign. Design for a wine tasting event in June for 100 guests. With multiple wines to sample, there was a need to determine what each guest had an opportunity to taste when visiting each station. To solve this, a passport was designed to be attached to the wrist with a gold clip and a clear cord. At each station, there was a stamp with a Lakehouse logo that the server would press onto the page that matched the wine at the booth. The passport features gold metallic ink contrasted on a navy cover, with a 1920’s era patterning and display font.
Designs for Oktoberfest Festival that features Lake Nona’s iconic Beacon transformed into a beer stein. Designs include social media and signage around the event includning stage scrim design to match the event branding.
In November, Lake Nona hosted its inaugural Town Harvest, a fall-themed event featuring extra-large tractors, opportunities for themed family photos, food trucks, stilt walkers, a bounce house and much more. There was a need to advertise the event around the Lake Nona community, and the Town Harvest poster campaign was created. The posters were hung in local shops and businesses around Lake Nona and features illustrated elements to play off the activities at the event. The colors reflect the fall season with rich pumpkin tones and contrasting aubergine and yellow hues. Use of symmetry and attention to detail with halftone texture and star patterning create an eye-catching duo of posters. There were a total of 850 attendees at the event, proving the success of the poster campaign.
